The Ricky Cox Finish Line will help an event's race committee to organize volunteers, if necessary, as well as design the course. We will provide finish line equipment -- display clock, finish-line chutes, finish-line scaffolding, and finish-line banner, etc.

On race day, we will designate the locations of course monitors or signs and water stops. We'll position mile split callers at each mile mark. We will also provide traffic cones on the course.

Ricky Cox Finish Line will tabulate and publish overall and age-group results in a timely manner and either fax or e-mail the results to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Dallas Morning News and www.clinesrunningcorner.com.

Contact us at admin@rickycoxfinishline.com for pricing details.

Ricky began the popular Trinity 5000 evening weekly summer series to help runners startrunners maintain their fitness over the hot months. The 5K and free kids' 1K (Ricky is shown explaining to the youngsters where they are supposed to go in the 1K) are conducted on the Trinity Trails, and the 12-race series began June 5. Runners can amass points by their age-division showings, and challenge for series-ending awards. The final race on Aug. 28 will serve as a tie-breaker and awards ceremony for the series' winners. Age-division awards (three deep) are presented after each race, and the Survival Awards are back. Save by registering for all 12 races for $108, which includes a T-shirt. Individual races are $15 with a T-shirt or $10 without a shirt. Kids 12-under are free for the 1K Fun Run. Race site is located off 600 Woodward Street/500 N. Henderson Street (near the Haws Recreation Center and the Fort Worth Fire Training Center). Runners and race walkers of all levels from the Dallas-Fort Worth area gather for this summer series. After the run, many stick around to visit with old friends and meet new ones. Many are members of the Arbor Society (formerly the Bridge Club) who have been socializing for years. So, bring your lawn chair and cooler and join the fun.

The Ricky Cox Finish Line was established in 1985 by Ricky Cox, a three-time winner of the Cowtown Marathon. Ricky won Cowtown in 1982, 1983 and 1986. In 1983, he also ran the Boston Marathon in 2:17 and was one of only 160 runners in the nation to qualify for the 1984 U.S. Olympic Trials.

Ricky has been involved with the Dallas-Fort Worth running community for nearly three decades. His son Demery also has followed his father's footsteps and competes in area road races. Demery has won several overall titles.

The Ricky Cox Finish Line includes a professional race staff with more than 20 years of experience. Ricky is well known and a respected ``sports icon'' in Fort Worth and the surrounding Metroplex. He is recognized as one of the area's top running champions during his career.

``I have made significant contributions to the Metroplex running and road-race communities,'' Ricky said. ``My popular Trinity 5000 Summer Race Series is in its 23rd year (2007), and has been host to thousands of participants.''
